I began taking my cars here some years ago after being told I needed about $400.00 worth of repairs to the exhaust system and carburetor work by the garage I had been going to. I wanted a second opinion. They corrected the exhaust problem with a pipe replacement and adjusted the carburetor. Total cost was $30.00. They only did what was necessary to correct the problem. In addition, when I needed work they didn't do, they always had a recommendation of a reliable garage to perform the work needed.

I have stopped in there a few times after hearing a strange noise or discovering a leak under my car, when running my errands, without calling first, and they always took the time to check it out for me, which I appreciated very much. There is nothing worse than driving around and not knowing if your car is going to make it home, and you don't have insurance for towing, and no man in your life to help you out. Another big plus is that they don't do unnecessary work, even if you were told by a another repair shop that you did. Four **** in my book! THANK YOU

I have been going to Chase Automotove for repairs on an assortment of Dodge trucks and Plymouth cars since 1981. Like one of the other reviewers, my first experience with them was after the local southside Dodge dealership told me I would need nearly $800 in carb repairs for a 3 year old Plymouth Volare. They fixed the problem for $25.(faulty accelerator pump)Both the original owner Ron, and now Jeff (Ron's longtime righthand man) are super honest and highly competent. Having them work on my cars has saved me a boatload of $$$ in unnecessary repairs and kept my cars/trucks running to a minimum of 175,000 miles.

We took our van in the last time it was acting up. They took the time to explain what needed to be fixed. I'm a woman, and they didn't talk down to me, which I appreciate!
