I brought my 1995 Jetta to Matt's on two occasions. The first was for what turned out to be my water pump. Before replacing the water pump they asked if my timing belt needed to be replaced. Since I had it replaced at 120,000 miles it didn't need it this time around. The second time was to replace my starter and check the left front tie rod and powersteering pump and hose the dealership said needed to be replaced. Matt checked it out and said in his opinion that both tie rods were ok and that he couldn't find anything wrong with the powersteering pump. I appreciated his honesty and integrity. He could have said that the tie rods and powersteering pump needed to be replaced but he didn't. He does an excellent job at a fair and reasonable price.

Beyond the numerous VW vehicles that have been serviced at Matt's, I have also had my Audi, Toyota 4=Runner, Honda Civic, Saab, Mazda, along with other Foreign cars serviced for over 20 years at Matt's. I have the utmost confidence in their professional diagnostic skills, the honesty and integrity of the owner and his key staff in defining and repairing a mechanical problem and providing a consistent and fair cost estimate. Matt's has strictly insisted using only the highest quality parts and fluids when servicing my vehicles. In my extensive and often times complicated diagnosis and repairs, I have not had to return, beyond very minor situations, with the repairs performed. I would without doubt choose Matt's for my service neds over any Dealer Repair shop. Their reputation for excellence is well founded and is validated by the fact that their customer base is large and loyal. My impression has been that they have far more work and customers than any auto repair operation I have ever encountered.
