I was referred to Green's Auto by my brother-in-law who has used him for years and now my wife and I have too. Green's Auto is just David Green, who works out of his garage. The only thing he doesn't do is muffler work. He's competent and has very reasonable rates. He only fixes what needs to be fixed and can explain things very simply. Plus he gets the car done when he says he will. Unlike most places he's completely trustworthy--sometimes the job comes in below estimate!

Dave Green (Green's Auto) gets his business entirely by word-of-mouth referral. My friend lives next door to him and initially referred me. Dave is down-to-earth, honest, very reasonably priced and only fixes what needs to be done. No staff, just himself. I also lived with my friend for awhile so was Dave's neighbor. All around friendly, decent man and neighbor. Highly recommend. And the only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 for competence is because I know nothing about cars so don't really know how to judge competence of a mechanic, so I "agree" Dave is competent.
