John has always been helpful, patient and willing to explain - and goes out of his way to find the best solution to our problem - whether he can do the work or whether the situation should be handled by a dealer.

John's shop is not necessarily the least expensive place to have the car repaired, but after 18 years of using him, I have always been treated fairly and honestly; and the car is always fixed right! When I'm trying to get a few more thousand miles out of the vehicle, he goes for the repair that will make it work, rather than the one that will make it brand-new. My wife has always felt comfortable when dealing with John and his staff. John has also taken time to show my teenage daughter what has been fixed and to explain the what and why of the parts. My favorite story is a time my car would not start during a prolonged cold snap (read that several days of more than 20 below). My car wouldn't start and I called John for a tow. He said the whole lot was full and that his truck wa out on a couple of runs, but that he would have me picked up in a couple of hours. A couple of hours later, the truck arrived and took the car and me to the shop. On the way their, the driver called in to ask where to drop the car. John said to honk when he got to the shop and he would take the car right into one of the bays. When the driver got off the radio he looked at me and said "What info do you got on him? You're the first one being dropped off in a bay!" In about an hour, I was on my way!

My whole extended family used to use this shop because of how reliable they were, but after a seemingly undending series of problems and mistakes we finally had to give up on them. I'm here looking for a new mechanic.

John's shop gives great service and an honest assessment of the repairs a vehicle needs.
