Tony Sr. may bend your ear at times. Since I gave up on being a backyard mechanic (for now), the fear of finding a mechanic was more an anxiety. It all came to rest the day I had to move and my battery died. My friends gave me a jump start and we figured that the heat had caused a cell to boil out. So my car was left running as I packed my measily belongings at my old apartment. I drove it to my new apartment dropped my belongings and drove it to Tony's shop. Turning off the car, it did not start again. I could change the batttery, even if it was in the wheelwell, but I have sworn off working on gravel parking lots as is my new flat. I got the bill and others after that from regular maintenance. My Stratus is a "Creampuff" thanks to Tony Sr. He may not keep track of the repairs but I do. The next big repair would be the timing belt, the Dodge has 80K miles, and I am relocating. Finding a new mechanic will be made easier thanks to your website. I found out about it on the newspaper Thursday classifieds supersection. Well I have to get back to goofing off at work. This was the most constructive thing I will have done today.

I've been going to Tony now as my main mechanic for 15 years. He's helped me out through many, MANY cars with interesting as well as routine problems. I have referred everyone I know to him. It really helps to have a secondary mode of transportation, however, because he only has one lift, so it may take him a while to get to your car. A few years ago, my father had a truck that was throwing everyone for a loop- no one could quite figure out what was wrong with it. He brought it to Tony- and they worked through it together. There are other good mechanics in town, and trustworthy ones. But by far and away- Tony is the best of the best. He and his wife and son have been running this garage for years, with a few people working for them from time to time. They appreciate it if you bring baked treats, as well. :)
