I don't know how they do it, there is a constant flow of cars at Dowtown Auto and somehow they always get the job done, and on time too. We always call and ask how soon can we get in, and Lloyd says drop it off and they will try to fit us in; more often than not it's completed by the end of the day. Thanks Guys

I've been going there for over 10 years. I found them in an emergency and I was fortunate that I did. Since that time they've had all my maintenance and repair business, even when the dealer is much closer. I've even had them work on my daughter's car when she visits from out of town. They take the time to explain what they're doing and why; their charges are fair.

The guys at Downtown Auto always cared about my car and about me. Maybe because I am biased--family member of the former owner--the current owner showed concern back when I was driving my old car in an unsafe condition. I sent many many friends over there with their own "college clunkers" and I never got a negative feedback from them. Most of the friends I sent over were women, like me.

My S10 Chevy pickup was eminating a loud whinning noise. The local dealer kept replacing serpentine belts & the noise would go away for a short time, then return even louder. Dave (0wner) & Lloyd determined that the source of the noise was an out of alignment pulley served by the serpentine belt. In this case it was the power steering pulley. After disassembley of the necessary components, they used a "pulley puller" to bring the offending pulley into alignment, END OF PROBLEM. They will do all of my maintainence from now on.

I have been talking cars to these guys for more than 20 years and they have never steered me wrong. They are straightfoward and honest and work to find the problem beyond what you would expect. They worked on junkers from a 77 Chevy Vega to my current car a Honda van. Not only do they fix what is wrong, they tell you when you shouldn't spend the money to fix something. I take both my work cars there and they have helped keep a 2000 Dodge Caravan running through 197,000 miles.

I've brought my veteran 96 Voyager (184000) to them twice now, and they've been efficient, reasonably priced, offered wise advice, and even have a sense of humor. They've got my business.
