I am 65 and retired. Have been a car nut all my life used to do most auto service myself and am a mechanical engineer. I know cars and recognize excellent service when I get it. This is the best shop I've ever taken a car. We have 5 cars ranging from 1981 to 1997. Ford, Plymouth, Dodge and two Chryslers. One time they did a power steering repair. Three months later I took the car in for an oil change. They called me and said the power steering had a slight leak (which I didn't notice) they told me their work has a 12 month warrenty so they fixed it free. Our cars range from 65,000 to 179,000 miles so they have done service including rack and pinion replacement, exhaust system, brake work, alignment, ball joints, tires and oil changes. Complete satisfaction and their charges are very reasonable.

I had my mini-van towed to their shop after spending it spent a lonely Sunday night in a parking lot a few miles away. They fixed the problem the same day, but when I got the car back I noticed a new soft-ball-sized dent in the fender. I don't know when the car suffered this injury: in the parking lot, by the tow truck guy (I was at work so I never even met him, or by the mechanic. I pointed this out to the shop manager and despite the fact that I had no evidence of how this happened they willingly repaired the damage free of charge.

They have admitted when defective parts were installed and replaced them promptly and free of charge. They are very good at explanations and up-front and honest about fees.

Our car wouldn't start in the parking lot about a mile from their shop, so I called them for a jump start. He came and started the car and I asked how much it was. He said Merry Christmas and left. I've been going to Girards since.

I had a new Jetta that wouldn't start. I called Girard's and he said he could work on it "no problem". I had it towed there and he called me 1/2 hr later and told me it required a Volkswagon computer setup to diagnose. He towed it free to the VW dealer. Awesome! Recently I had the oil changed at a Quick Change place because I was in a hurry. I should have gone to Girard's. The "Engine Maintenance" lite was on (Toyota) and I took it to Girard's. Instead of running up a bill he called me and told me that the lite had to be reset after the oil change which the Quick Change place didn't do. I asked "How much do I owe you?" and they said "Nothing" I couldn't believe it. How Honest Can a place Be? I truely believe any other place would have "Found something" to fix with the "Engine Maintenance" lite. Any other place would have screwed me, I'm sure." But NOT Girard's! They are honest, fast, and super reasonably priced. My wife takes her VW Cabrio there and I'm taking my Toyota Camry there from now on no matter what! They deserve the repeat business that's for sure!
