This garage started out as a Mom and Pop type of garage. They have sold the Jeep brand for as long as I remember. The shop is now run by the sons. 1 is a salesman and the others are shop foreman and lead mechanics. I believe that they employee approximately 10-12 full time people. I know this is not large in comparison to some their competition. They have been in business for at least 35-40 years (my dad had bought vehicles from them) and the boys grew up working at the dealership. The dealership is about 5 miles off a major highway, located in the small town (less than 100) of Louisburg, WI. The dealership is actually a large portion of the town. I have purchased the vast majority of my cars from them since the early 1970's. Needless to say I am on a first name basis with most of its employees. It is about a 30 mile drive for me to have them work on by vehicles, but I have them do 80-90% of my work. I change my own oil etc. The shop rate is in my opinion very fair. If they find something that they need to keep the car overnight, they will provide a loaner, (usually a very used but drivable car that they have on the lot). An example was last summer my brother-in-law drove back to Wisconsin from Arizona. On they way he experienced transmission trouble on a 96 Chrysler. The trans would not shift properly. We took the car down to them, (no appointment) they ran a diagnostic on the trans. could not see a problem code from the car computer, told my brother-in-law how to reset the computer if the problem occurs again, and then did not charge for their time or advice. My brother-in-law returned to Arizona, and had the shifting problem occur (1X). He did as instructed and got back to his home without the use of a hook (wrecker). Thats about it. Kim Klauer 717 E.
