Lyman admits it when he's stumped. He doesn't purposefully make extra work for himself to increase his income. He makes things come out right in the end if he screwed up.

Lyman is not a parts changer , He tries to make the parts you have on the veh work , and if they wont only then will he change the part for a new one. I have only paid labor charges once, if I have to bring the veh back the second time he just charges for the part itself, and does not tack on more labor charges , even if it takes him more time to replace the part than it did the first visit.

The too guys that work at this shop (Lyman and Kelly) are great. I went to this shop after getting recommendations from a few older ladies I worked with and I'm glad I did. They explain everything and tell you the most cost-effective way to get things done (even if it means going somewhere else). As another reviewer said, they aren't parts-changers like so many of the chain stores are. My car had several issues and they fixed all of them. Here's an interesting note - my car needed a new interior door handle. They tried to find a used one but couldn't, so they had to get one from a dealer. Lyman himself got into his car and drove two towns over to get the part that very same day, and they didn't mark it up one cent. Most other places would've told you that they couldn't get the part and that you'd have to wait. I am extremely happy with this place and would definitely go back. Even though I've moved 90 miles away since then, I would seriously consider going back to get my car fixed there.
