I like to call him "my buddy Marv". He's kind of a crusty old guy, but with a good attitude. He knows his stuff, and so do his other wrenches. He'll discuss your problem over the phone, and suggest cheap fixes you can try yourself before you bring it in... and they usually work.

They are knowledgeable and honest. They're thorough and explain things. I'm
very happy with their service.

After finding a small oil leak, I called Marv's and asked
for a price and time frame for repair for a valve cover
gasket and oil pan gasket. They called back within a half
hour with a price, and the recommendation that I have the
valve cover gasket repaired first (the much less expensive
route) and only proceed with the oil pan gasket if
necessary. They were able to book me an appointment within
three days. The work was finished within four hours of
dropping the car. They test drove the car after repair, and
recommended against the need to replace the oil pan gasket.
They found the throttle plates were dirty when doing the
repair work, so cleaned them while the parts were
accessible. The price was as quoted. The work was done well
and quickly, and I was treated well and with integrity.

How often can you start with a mechanic and end with a
friend. Marv is simply the best. What he and his family
(yes it's a family business) don't know about motor vehicles
just doesn't exist. His service, business acumen and
personal touches are impeccable. When I first started going
to him 23 years ago, he told me that people would sign blank
checks and tell him to fill in the amount. I didn't believe
him until he showed me the checks. I would never even
consider doing that with anyone....except Marv. He is
getting on in years and is handing the reins to his sons.
He has a huge family, and they are all cut from the same
cloth as Marv. He is a master mechanic and a superb human
being. My family is so fortunate to have Marv's close to
us. I tell them do what has to be done and fix what you
feel is necessary. If they recommend anything I never
question it. What a fabulous bunch of people.

They have done a great job for me on two minor issues for my
Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Intrepid.
