I've never had a mechanic that was more willing to describe the work he does more than Neil. He seems to operate under a policy of "get it done right, if there's a problem make it right." The only trouble I've had is that sometimes he's backed up workload-wise... but usually I can be patient and wait for my turn. That said, I can't recommend him enough. He's the most honest and straight-forward mechanic I've ever known... I've had to deal with some crappy greaseballs, so it's good to have someone on your side. Highly recommended!

I have taken my old Toyota, Mazda and Ford to Neil for all mechanical work over the past two years. He has always been cordial, competent and honest. He recomends necessary work and discourages unnecessary details. He has worked on my clutch, brakes and engine and has done an excellent job every time. His price is more than fair. Once, when he found the towing service he recommended had overcharged me, he gave me a discount off his own labor charge.

Neil Ing is a breath of fresh air in Seattle. I moved over here three years ago from Coeur d'lain Id and have searched high and low for a good mechanic that does not rip a woman off. He is the one. I have had work on my Honda Accord and my son's Nissan pick up and he was reasonable and fixed the problems in good time and stands behind his work! his address is 10712 Aurora Ave N. in Seattle just south of Home Depot > I am very happy wih this mechanic!

Neil Ing, the owner, is honest to his own detriment. I've asked him to do things that he's declined to do because they weren't necessary. He's taken really good care of my 1994 Plymouth Acclaim, my 1994 Dodge Caravan, and my 1998 Chrysler Sebring. He also kept my roommate's 1997 Ford Taurus going past 170,000 miles. He's honest, and his prices are more than fair. He operates with low overhead, so don't expect free donuts and a spiffy waiting room. I am, however, willing to forgo those things to work with an honest mechanic. He is not equipped for A/C, front-end alignment, etc. but he can handle maintenance and repairs. He can do bodywork, as well. If you have an older car and a limited budget, Neil is your man. If you have a newer car and don't want to pay for the dealer's overhead on routine maintenance, you should see him, too!
