Honest. Obviously a real lover of Volkswagon autos. Nice person. Not out to become a millionaire.

Jack Morris is the most knowledgable Volkswagen mechanic in Seattle, if not the state or the West Coast. He truly knows his material and will always use the best quality parts possible. If you need a quick fix, he'll fix it permanently, but his real expertise is in restoration. Wolfsburg has a top-notch team of auto experts that aren't afraid to spend extra time on a project to get it just right. I don't trust my Beetle to anyone else!

I'm pleased to hear the good words about Jack, but Pei is long gone (winter 2002). My resto-project must have happened during some of the hard times, because it took over 2 yrs and is still not complete. To be fair, restorations must be a bitch to do, but if you say you do 'em, then DO them. As we speak, one part is back for its' (third? fourth?) re- do and, oddly enough, the fella makes ME feel like it's my fault that he's broken something original (or that the never-fully -identified sub-contractor has let US down again. I came here looking for a possible alternative and conclude that I'm already AT the best, ow. And sadly, I didn't Think I was a fussy guy. Maybe I am, after all.

I have had Vans since "69". My latest infatuation is a "90" Vanagon with 153,000 miles. Sad to say it needed major work following a major coolant failure. I was referred to this shop by a VW factory service manager. Jack was very helpful and up-front about my options and even wanted to make sure I was ready to go with the repair steps(costs) I asked to be performed. The repairs have not been completed as the van was just delivered by tow to the shop. I selected this shop after calling or visiting ten other places. I'll share more when the work is completed.

I took my Westfalia to Jack for three years. It's was never easy to get in right away-- but I guess that's a good sign. He's helpful on do-it-yourself stuff and honest about repairs that don't need to be done. Too bad he only work on VW's. I guess I was lucky he'd work on my Vanogon because he really specializes in work on aircooled engines-- he seems to send people he doesn't like packing.

I found this shop recently by accident. I stopped by to ask them where the other volkswagen repair shop around the corner (that I had been going to...whose work I didn't much care for but were close to my home) had moved to and discovered that what was previously just a VW parts shop, was now a repair shop. He(Jack)squeezed me in and fixed my car for me the next day. Jack is more than just a mechanic, he's there in his shop doing ZEN car repair!!! He repairs problems ALL THE WAY....not just superficially. He goes out of his way to explain and educate....shows the customer all failed parts and why he's replaced them. He, himself, drives a '63 bug that looks like it just came off the showroom floor. He's friendly, knowledgable, thorough, honest and FAIR!!! Every time he adds up my bill he hands it to me and asks me if that seems fair and right. Jack is a true gem. If you've got a volks and live in seattle you owe it to both yourself and your car to take it to Jack at Wolfsburg Motorwerks. I've been driving my 67 Bug for 28 years and do most of my own work, but for the more complicated repairs I've taken it to a number of shops over the years and tell you truly that Jack is simply THE BEST I've ever encountered.

My long-time regular mechanic was unable to diagnose the problem with my '91 Vanagon Carat. Now and then it would lose RPMs at speed - not stall, but just lose power, then recover after sitting for a while. At Wolfsburg Motors, Jack knew immediately what the problem was and corrected it. As a long-time VW and one-time Porsche owner, I also enjoy viewing the interesting specimens which show up at Wolfsburg and discussing those vehicles with Jack. Highly recommended for VW owners.
