Recently our 2001 Honda Civic had a recall for the
airbags. While our local Honda dealer was fixing the
airbags they did a safety check and found over $2,500 worth
of necessary repairs. Since the car has 97,000 miles I
knew that some of these things needed to be done. ie
replace the timing belt.
I took the car to the Service Department at Budget Car
sales and talked over the repairs. All the repairs were
done and more. For example since the front struts needed
to be replaced, I also had the rear done. Two of the
engine mounts were broken, so I had all three replaced.
While do the timing belt, I also had the water pump
replaced. So all these repairs were done for $1400,
including the additional work I requested.
I have had this shop do several other repairs and they have
also done outstanding work for much less than the
dealership or other repair shops. They even allowed me to
buy my own parts and then installed them.
