Bruce works on most major brands of foreign cars. He is very knowegeable about German cars particularly Volkswagens. He works on everthing from Bugs to vans; in any model year. He is well connected to parts networks and can get most items, he dosen't have in stock, within 24 hrs. In a somewhat isolated area of the state he is a rare find, and a very honest, experienced, hard working mechanic. If your VW breaks down on the Northern Olympic Peninsula take it to Bruce! He even does some emergency glass work; when I lost one of the sidewing windows on my '71 bug, he found one on an old door he had in his shop attic and had me on my way in about 10 min. He even called me at home that afternoon to let me know he had over charged me by mistake and had a refund ready for me.

Two anecdotes: 1.) I broke a timing belt on my '87 Honda Civic 4WD Wagon away from home and had to have it fixed (new engine) elsewhere. The job was done adequately, but not well. After I got the car home, I took it to Bruce and he cleaned it up (got the hood to close, cruise control to work, noise out of the transmission and about five other complaints) for under $100. 2.) He did the 70,000 mile service on my Volvo 850 for under $60. He is very reliable and fair.

I have had many repairs done to several vehicles at Bruce's
and have always been satisfied. The original estimate for
the most recent job was approximately $500, but the work
went more quickly and smoother than originally estimated,
and so I was charged appropriately - $275. Bruce's quickly
found and fixed a problem in a previous car that had been
looked at by two other mechanics who were unable to solve
the drive-ability issue. Bruce is very competent and honest!
