These guys are rare mechanics. They kept my old beater 82 toyota going for 240k on the original engine without hassling me about the parts I couldn't afford to fix. It's still running, but now I am taking my 91 corolla to them. They have an uncanny ability to figure out where vibrations are coming from (cv joints this time) and fix the right part the first time. They are courteous, smart and do thorough work. I can always tell where they've been, because they clean up the engine before they put the new parts on. They've earned the respect of the wife and I over the last 5 years. Another good sign, there is a steady stream of customers bringing cars in around 8 AM. Best of all, they take drop ins and usually finish that day.

now black forest is matias wrench werks...and it's since the change that i have had my car worked on there. dan[the owner] actually works on your car, is honest, very funny, and really really helpful.he is the only mechanic around here that didn't cop an attitude about the saab 9000 aero as if it were a mazerati....which it is not.....and so he doesn't double charge for parts and labor etc. and the big plus is he knows what he's doing....
