The most significant positive experience I had with APM was when my usual (former!) mechanic misdiagnosed a problem with my '87 Mazda 626GT and, as a result, I had to replace the head gasket. That mechanic quoted me $2600 for the job, and when I called APM to compare they quoted me $1200 for the exact same job and even offered a better guarantee on their work. The car was fixed in a day, vs. 5 days at the other place. Anytime I had other work done on that car OR the 1990 Honda Civic Wagon I later drove, the shop owner, Mr. Yang, always explained exactly what the problem was, what was essential to take care of, what repair could wait awhile without doing harm to the car, and offered me more than one option for parts (new vs. rebuilt). Being on a tight budget, I appreciated his approach. I never had a single problem with any work and, one time when a rebuilt part was faulty, Mr. Yang replaced it with no charge for parts or labor. I have recommended APM to many friends who have all had great experiences with APM. I have never trusted a mechanic more than I trust Mr. Yang and his team, and recommend them highly and without reservation.
