They have made a mistake or two communicating with me. (Leaving me waiting too long in the waiting room and forgetting to tell me the car was ready; promising to meet me with a loaner car, then, failing to show up.) I consider their periodic maintenance fees exorbitant and unreasonable. However, this is offset by their low price on oil changes, which is competitive with any low-cost oil change place and by their generally helpful service representatives. I prefer to go to independent mechanics, but my car is still under the 36,000 mile warranty, so I will continue to go to the dealer until then. Very happy with the reliability and driveability of the Subaru Forester, but think they may have some unfair pricing in the service department, at least locally.

The guys at Subaru have treated me quite fairly (a thing I have occassional trouble with, being female). They talk to me like I am an intelligent person who knows something about my cars (and they love my 1985 T-top Subaru Brat). They are happy to allow me to provide used or rebuilt parts, which are less expensive than what they can provide. All diagnostic work-ups have been done at no charge and they have always referred me to another good shop when someone else can do the work cheaper than they can. Vance and Dan are great guys to work with.
