Gary is has been so good to my cars -- both my 1971 black Karmann Ghia, Schwaerzl (my baby -- sob -- that died in the grill of a '68 Dodge pickup), and my 1969 beige VW bug, Honig. When Helmut's auto shop closed, I followed Gary to Rainier Auto. He can practically hear my little ancient car breathe. He's the one rebuilt the transmission. I learned to drive stick on the bug. Gary is a great mechanic, but like everybody at Rainier, he loves to talk (part of these guys' charm -- they could take on Tom and Ray!). While I was learning standard, Gary only had to change my clutch ONCE -- not FIVE times, as the story had at one time blossomed. I wanted to point that out.

Jim & or Chuck has been working on our cars since 1979, Very honest shop does great work, and I don't know what we will do when he retires. Gary works pretty much on the VW's so he has worked on my son's car. Tom and Ray I absolutly love you guys, I come from Boston and it does my heart good to hear your accent's they say I still have mine but I think its just the R's ha ha. But back to Rainier auto you can't find a more reliable and honest shop in my oppinion
