I've gone here for a 90k service, to replace a water pump, and to diagnose/replace an ABS sensor. All of the work was done well and I haven't had any problems with the fixed parts. The main issue I have is their high cost of labor ($88/hr when I was there last) and their rounding up of labor time (e.g. 3hrs instead of 2.5hrs, 1hr instead of .5hr). A minor issue I had was that the ABS sensor took 2days longer than I was told to fix. Overall, their work is high quality but expensive. But if you live in Bellevue, WA you can probably afford it!

competent but not "highly competent". I had normal maintenance plus my clutch and wheel bearings replaced. they used generic parts rather than the special Subaru parts which fixed design flaws in the car. Thus I had to pay again for the repairs when the generic parts failed.

Highest commendation for Greg's Japanese Auto in Bellevue, especially service manager Steve. I recently moved from IL to Seattle. Few things to me are more stressful that trying to find a competent, independent(read: cost effective; fingers and toes, not arms and legs) place to take my car when moving to a new city. I chose Greg's out of ignorance. They have many locations around the Seattle area and offer what I think is a good warranty on their work (15mo./15k). So, I figured I'd give them a shot for a belated 30,000k service. I couldn't have been happier with the way I was treated and the work performed. I had an issue with my exhaust caused by a manufacturer defect and my car was 2k out of warranty. Instead of trying to sell me a fix, Steve at Greg's suggested I try to appeal to Nissan ("all the way up the foodchain") until I received the repair under a goodwill warranty from Nissan Consumer Affairs (which I did). I feel that these guys are honest and are candid in keeping their customers appraised of what repairs are 'essential' and those that can wait. These guys definetley work to keep your business - couldn't be happier.
