I recently moved to Burlington, Vermont. When I needed
work on a 1990 Acura Ledgend a friend from work recommended
John Leo & Sons. On three separate occasions I took my car
to a mechanic in Burlington, and then to John Leo's for a
second opinion. One time John Leo & Sons charged me less
than half what the Burlington mechanic estimated (replacing
ball joints, exhaust pipes, oil change plus new winter
tires), and twice John Leo & Sons said I did not need the
work the other mechanic said I needed. John Leo & Sons is
located about 15 miles east of Burlington, but it you don't
like getting scammed by in-town mechanics used to ripping
off college students with their parent's credit cards, it
is well worth the trip. Just bring a friend to drive you
there and back.

I have had two cars worked on by Jason, the mechanic. He
seems to go out of his way to save me money, and he still
does an exceptional job on the two cars of ours that he has
repaired. The office staff is very pleasant and helpful,
and they have helped out with quick consults when I
urgently needed it (I would try NOT to abuse this!)

Recently I was in a car accident and basically totaled my
car. I took a used vehicle in for John Sr to evaluate for
me. He showed me why I shouldn't buy that car. He told me
that my car was garbage (which I already knew), but it was
100% better than the car he was evaluating for me. Forever
Honest people.
