I use my car daily. I made appointment two weeks in advance
for them to have car for three days to repair an interior
heating/ac fan while I was out of town. When I made the
appointment, I told them they could only have the car for
three days. I was assured this would give them enough time
to order appropriate parts, if not in stock, and have the
car ready in time.
On the day of my appointment, I dropped the car off at 8:30
AM. I called back twice that afternoon. They had not
looked at the car.
My call was returned at 4:45 PM. I was told they needed to
order a fan motor and would do so the next day, but it would
not be delivered until two days later, which meant they
needed an extra day for the repair. I asked if they could
expedite. They said they could, but it would cost an extra
$150.00 for overnight delivery.
I told them to forget it and picked up the car when I
returned to town. The still charged me $100.00.
Then, when I picked up the car, the check engine light was
on. They told me it was unrelated, but never checked the
computer codes. They said I had to bring it back for them
to do so. As I left, I noticed the mechanic in the service
waiting room, drinking coffee.
I took the car somewhere else.
