I started bringing my VW jetta TDI there on recommendation of my wife, who takes her Geo Prism there. We love them cuz they are fast, cheaper than the dealer, and do good work. I was worried about taking my TDI to them, but they do plenty of work on them. The only problem I have with them is that we moved to the other side of town, and it's just slightly inconvienent.

Dave, Dana, and the whole shop are friendly, honest, and competent. They don't make promises they can't keep; they try to find used parts if appropriate on big ticket items; they take care of all the little things, sometimes at no charge. Once Dave put free gas in my son's car so he could get back home after a repair. I have learned at great expense over the years to find an independent auto shop that wouldn't stay in business if they were bad -- unlike the repair shops at auto dealerships, who are going to stay busy regardless. Axelle Auto is the quintessential local auto shop you can know and trust.

I was there just to change a small bulb for my dashboard. I came in at 09:20 am. No one communicated with me on how long the service will be. While I brought my own magazines and read them 3X, I noticed it's almost lunch time. I am supposed to meet two friends for lunch. I ask them how long will it take for this small bulb to be replaced. They told me that they need to order the bulb. This is after 1 1/2 hours and seeing seven cars being repaired in my presence. Poor communication ! Poor service ! If you are a woman and a minority: you are hopeless !!
