I had a 1978 Volvo, 240, and had close to 1 million miles on it. It was my love, and was very responsive. Eventually, I had front end problems, with my struts. Each time I had them repaired, the cost was about $300. I firmly believe that the problem originated by my inadvertantly running over a curb. But, be that as it may, I had to get the front struts changed/repaired,bangdaged, etc. about once every three years. At one point, I found out that I need work done within one year! Roger and John said that it must be their mistake, and did the job for free! How's that?! I enjoy contributing to their condo in the Bahamas...

VIP has worked on several cars for us. Most recently a used Toyota I bought for my daugters' use at college. I had forgotten that they had replaced the power steering pump when they first went over the vehicle for me. The pump went out several weeks later and they changed it out with no charge and no questions. They are always reliable and reasonable. My wife likes them also.

Up until recently, I had owned only Volvo cars for the last twenty years and had them serviced in quite a few locations from New York to Florida, including dealerships and "private" mechanics. When I moved to here to Virginia a few years ago, I got the VIP reference from your site. These folks have been absolutely the best people I've ever used. I don't know how ell they respond to screw ups because I have not had any from them. I can't say how they treat female customers because only I have used them but, knowing their generally courteous manner, I would surmise they would be fine with women as well. There is no public transportation but the local Enterprise office works well with them to provide transportation when needed.

I know this will tax your credulity to the max, but...Had an '85 Fiero V-6 5spd. w/ 105k, and the clutch finally when south. Roger & Co. installed a new one with a refaced flywheel (requires engine R&R), and it lasted for 1,000 miles before going belly up. They correct concluded it was a bad clutch, got another one from the Poncho dealer, and installed it. Yep, you got it, puked after another 2k miles. Another great GM part. They finally got one from the aftermarket shop, installed it, and Viola'; ran like a champ. They gritted their teeth, and did it all for just the initial price of the clutch replacement. There isn't another guy on this side of the Mason-Dixon who would eat two clutches because General Motors makes junk parts. They've got my loyalty, for sure...

After quite a few miles carrying heavy loads over some extremely porrly maintained mountain roads in West Virginia I managed to snap the mount for my right passenger shock in two on my poor little nissan pickup. My wife took the truck into this shop and told them fix the shock and to look over the whole truck and let her know everything that needed to be done. With such vague and profitable instructions I was expecting a long list of all these things that weren't wrong but they wanted to fix anyway. To my surprise they called her back and let her know that they looked the truck over and the only thing they found they needed to fix was the broken shock! They were totally honest, up front, and polite even to my wife who doesn't know anything about cars. They had wonderful prices, finished the work in the time they said they would, and I couldn't be happier. I would reccomend this shop to anyone who was looking for a place to take their vehicle.
