Jim, the owner, is honest and competent. That is saying a lot for the car repair business. I trust him with my four vehicles -- three Toyotas and a Geo (and also in the past two years a Mustang and a Durango). I drop a vehicle off, and tell Jim to do what he has to do to fix the problem. Jim is number one.

We looked around for a good mechanic and finally found Shorty's right under our noses. John, the owner, and his staff are very friendly and take their time to explain what needs done. He gives an honest assessment of the problems and fixes most problems in a timely manner. We (my wife and I ) feel comfortable with leaving our vehicles with him to fix, knowing they will be done correctly. He even opens on Saturday mornings just to do State vehicle inspections for those of us that have a hard time taking off during the week. Now that is customer related service. Check him out, and you too will be satisfied with his work.

The people there are friendly and helpful. My husband has a good working knowlege of cars but doesn't have the time or space to do repairs. We stumbled on Shorty's and he found a place that wasn't trying to tell him he knew nothing about the problem. Their prices are very reasonable. We trust them with all 5 of vehicles Taurus,Geo,Mustang,Park Ave. and F250 truck.

I just moved her from CA and was referred to Shorty's Auto Repair by a friend. They looked at my vehicle and gave me a complete breakdown on why my Explorer was running rough after a initial diagnosis. It ended up being a fuel filter that was clogged up. They also explained about the new Ethanol additive in the gas now and that it also is a cleaning agent for your fuel system, which possibly lead to my fuel filter being clogged up. These guys are great!!!
