This is the best shop I have ever dealt with. They are honest and have saved me lots of money a couple of times.

This place is great, the owner personally took my car for a drive to see what was wrong with it and then gave me a simple solution that saved me a lot of money. I had other places trying to get me to replace my transmission.

in 1997, I moved to the area (military) and needed a mechanic. They came highly recommended from a lady on Quantico. I went and was highly impressed with their service, speed, and price. My plan is to keep my car until it "dies" and I have always taken my 1994 Honda Prelude to them for scheduled maintenance. They keep it running in peak condition. The two corrective maintenance visits were for poor work done when I previously lived in North Carolina. I have since moved from the area to California but will always remain a loyal customer of Kevin and Jimmy when I return to Virginia.

This is a great shop. Honest oweners, honest mechanics, first rate repairs. Wish I had found this shop when I first moved to this area 20+ years ago.

Found One Stop Auto on and based on the reviews used them for the first time yesterday for a state inspection and to check on a knocking sound. Didn't have an appointment, they had more than a few customers' cars of all makes, models, and years in their lot and on the lifts, but took me in and fit me in anyway. They found several problems I didn't even know existed (I'm somewhat handy with cars, but by no means a fully qualified, experienced mechanic). They explained the problems, showed me exactly where they were, what was involved with the repair time/price-wise, what my options were regarding fixing them now vs. later and whether or not it would pass inspection before the repairs were done, to avoid me paying for an inspection I'd fail. They were able to take care of the repairs right then and there, including having some parts delivered in about 15-20 minutes that they didn't have in stock. For the problem I did know about, Jeff (the service manager) showed me what it was (belt tensioner spring). He told me how long it would take to fix, that it could wait if I preferred, and said if I wanted to I could buy the part at a local auto parts store to save $ and he'd install it if I didn't feel comfortable doing the work myself. They have a spacious and comfortable waiting room with a TV, free coffee/tea/water, tons of magazines, and they give you updates on their progress as you wait. While they don't do painting/bodywork (they aren't set up for it shop-wise), they referred me to a fellow shop they trust should I ever need that type of work done. They have many customers from the local military base as well as those in public safety. I learned a long time ago that if a business has many customers in law enforcement, that they their service has to be excellent (cause you don't screw up or try to cheat that customer base). They treated their other customers (male and female of all ages) the same as me: friendly, with respect, and like family. They truly love the field they're in. I recommend them 100%!!!!

During one of the many big snow storms we've been having here in WNC I began to search for a used Subaru on line. I located one in Stafford VA, over 400 miles from my home. It looked good on line, but I did not want to make an 800+ mile round trip without knowing more. The mechanics at One Stop Auto and their receptionist were great. They did a thorough pre-purchase inspection for me (2 hours) and confirmed it would be worth my drive to come and buy the car. I DID :) I really appreciated their help, like having my own mechanic around the corner look things over. I've been telling my friends that the Car Talk mechanic files are a great service, thanks for providing a place for me to share my gratitude. Laura
