Honest, competent, friendly, accommodating, close to Metro station. AK Auto has always given me good advice, done accurate diagnosis, and repaired what was necessary. We drive older cars and AK has been a life saver for us.

We've come to rely on Mr Kang and his shop. Just one example: replaced the timing belt on a Toyota Land Cruiser at a fraction of the cost quoted by a dealer (perhaps not a big surprise, but nice). Diagnosed and fixed other problems on our two cars, the other one a 1998 Honda Civic. They'll even provide a detailed and completely understandable estimate, together with drawings if necessary, by e-mail! They note "watch for" items, while recommending when things don't need to be fixed. Very considerate, willing to accommodate scheduling needs if possible. Walking distance to Vienna Metro Station. Best place I can remember over decades! Honest, honest, honest! Can't answer how they react when they screw up, because they never have.

The manager, Keith, took the time to explain the range of possibilities and cost for a potential issue I had before I made an appointment for them to repair the car. After looking at the car, they assured me no work needed to be done (very honest!). They don't conduct state inspections, but they kindly took the car to an establishment across the street and took care of it for me for no extra cost. I'll definitely use them again!

Mr. Kang services three Toyotas for me: a 1999 Sienna, a 1999 Tacoma and a 2005 Prius. He always gives me the best price and explains everything in a way I can understand. Many times, he performs work when needed, not "hyped up" like a dealer would. He also tells me if there's an item that needs to be serviced sometime in the future. Many times, he checks out things for no charge- he's that thorough. I think most important of all, he's the most honest person I've ever dealt with - even most of my relatives. God bless Mr. Kang! He really is the best.

Abe Kang and his techs are wonderful! I first heard from this shop from a friend who worked with the Department of Consumer Protection who described them as "the most honest repair shop in Fairfax County". In addition to being honest they are fast, efficient and very competent. Their repair estimates are "spot on". Additionally they are very friendly and take time to explain repairs. Their receipts always have helpful service suggestions. I highly recommend this shop. BTW they are also a short walk from the metro station.

I took my 1999 Toyota Sienna with 129,500 miles on odometer with a request for complete review/inspection. Mr. Kang did an immensely thoogh job, including advica on work that can be deferred until later. Though I had asked for a lot of work to be done (this was the first maintenance other than brakes and tires since the van was new!) the bill came in 50% under the dealer's estimate without the dealer's inspection charge. Mr. Kang also sent me information on better maintenance fluids and materials. I will also be bringing my wife's Prius in for maintenance. My family has put about a million miles on Toyotas since 1978 and, by far, he's the best and most reasonable mechanic I've encountered.
