API has been great! I've used API for about ten years now, and they have always found a reasonable way to fix my cars, both past and present ( I've owned a subaro G10, Isuzu Trooper II, and plymouth Neon).

They remember me better than I expect with my infrequent visits. They solved a tire problem that a tire shop incorrectly diagnosed.

Friendly personal service. If they don't fix it the first time they take care of it diligently. they also find those hard problems that no other dealers can find.

I have been using API since 1985, they have taken care of my cars,my chldren cars and now they are taking care of my grand children's cars. This is a very honest and friendly shop and their prices on parts are about the same as discount houses. Their current labor rates are lower that other shops that I have heard of from my friends. That is when I tell them where they should go. In my family we have owned all makes and models of cars and they have been able to fix them all. I strongly reccommend this repair shop in Charlottesville Va.

These guys are great! I was in the Peace Corps for 3 years, when I returned I found that API is the same dependable shop it was before I left. I highly recommend them.

These guys are awesome - they're polite, they do good work, and most importantly they're honest. I had a HORRIBLE 2002 VW Passat that was constantly in need of repair. They could have fleeced me for thousands, since we all knew how much was wrong with the car; instead, they told me what was crucial in order to keep the car functional, and what I could wait on (or shouldn't waste my money on at all) to fix. The highlight was when my catalytic converter went bad; another repair shop quoted me nearly $900 to replace it. API's manager, J.W., told me that he'd be happy to prepare a lower estimate, but that I should check because he believed the car should qualify for a free catalytic converter replacement under the Federal Emissions Warranty since the year and mileage were under the limit. Lo and behold, he was right, and I got the work done for free. He could have quoted me anything under $900 and I would have thought that I was getting a decent deal, not knowing any better. Instead, he was honest. That example is indicative of how they operate in general. I have a new car now and as soon as the warranty expires, I'll be going back to API for maintenance. Love them!
