I asked for a full check-up and repair on an 11 year old car to be given to a family member. I knew there were issues and they let me know everything that could be fixed, but recommended only what should be fixed - at a very cheap and reasonable price. The experience verified what I had heard from friends.

K C Auto replaced 5 of 6 coils associated with the ignition system. They were honest enough to replace only 5, confirming that the 6th did not need to be replace. The could hace easily fooled me into thinking that all 6 needed to be replaced. I think I have finally found an honest machanic. I will definately be calling the manager and relaying my satisfaction. Oh, by the way, I found this service shop by using the find an honest machinc tool off of this Car Talk Webpage...Thanks guys!!! Job well done.

They also tend to have lower gas prices than the area average. I've been going there for 21 years and have recommended them to newcomers. Their waiting room is spotless and comfortable and they are unfailingly pleasant -- and helpful. They have saved me money several times when making repairs, as well.

When I first moved to the area and needed a simple car inspection, I chose KC merely based on the fact it was the closest inspection station to my house. Being a creature of habit, when my car needed a repair, I took it there as well. Having spent the last 10 years in a large city, I was used to (as a female) getting snowed when it came to auto repair. I was fully prepared for an argument when the call came in with the estimate. Instead, I was told that the issue wasn't the ultra-expensive problem I was expecting, but a quick cheep fix. I've been hooked ever since. These guys figured out long ago that the best way to keep a happy loyal customer base is to deal with people honestly and with integrity.

All the mechanics who work in this show are very nice to all their customers. They get the work done quickley and well at a very good price. This shop doesn't look like anything great from the outside but it is the best place i've ever taken my cars.

My family has been taking cars to KC for about 8 years now. He and his team have been excellent. He investigates the problem, discusses the options and tries his best to keep the costs down. He never talks down to the customer. He is easy to talk to and will answer any questions you have. I have never had to bring my car back because it was not fixed right the first time. Other family members have taken cars back for a second look, and he always goes out of his way to get it fixed right. Pricing is excellent! They are popular, but try to get the cars fixed as fast as possible, usually within a couple of days.

Had an emissions problem with a 99 Honda Odyssey (check engine light came on and would not reset per owner's manual -- fuel cap method). They finally fixed problem after four trips, but their approach was a thoughtful one from customer's wallet's perspective. They did diagnostics and ascertained that thermostat was bad. Consequence was that catalytic converter wasn't reaching proper temps. That didn't do the trick and they found that oxygen sensors might be suspect. When that didn't correct, they determined that catalytic converter was bad, but put in an aftermarket converter (with my permission) as cost saving measure. That didn't work and their research (including questioning Honda) revealed that a Honda approved part was necessary. They let me drive car for two weeks after replacing converter without paying difference in order to determine if this was problem (it was). May seem like they nickel-and-dimed this and caused me lots of inconvenience, but we went over things carefully. Had I gone to Honda, I believe I would have had one big bill at the outset (and fewer trips back), but everything would have been replaced on a 7 year old car. Bottom line: they worked patiently with me and were very diplomatic, responsive, and cautious about running up a bill.

This is the only shop that I have used since 1990. Honest, reliable, competent, trustworthy, thorough, extremely knowledgeable, great staff, on time and on budget. I will go to KC before I go to any dealer service. No disapointments.

I brought my 1969 Ford Mustang in for an evaluation before deciding whether to spend more money on it or begin searching for another vehicle. Casey went over the vehicle with me and explained what I would need to spend to bring the brake and exhaust systems up to spec. His suggestion was that, while he was willing to repair the vehicle, it was probably not worth it. His honesty was refreshing! I'm impressed and will return when I need other auto services.
