The owner, Reed, who is retired, (Ron does most of the work now), made good on a rebuilt engine for my '79 ford fairmont that didn't properly seat the valves after the engine shop took it apart and said it was fine. when the year warranty was up, Reed was so frustrated that he personally rebuilt that same engine and only charged me parts price. not labor. He said that back when engines were rebuilt by hand w/ wrenches instead of computerized tightening of stuff, they turned out better and that that doesn't make any sense. On that old of a car, he has made parts you can't get anymore that car now has been passed on to my son in law (what are mothers in law for?) and runs beautifully after 250,000 miles. the body looks like hell but that's for another time.

I got the name of the shop from Car Talk. I read several comments from people who used the shop and was really impressed. I took my Lincoln in and asked them to check everything out. They called me to tell me I needed rear brakes and described several potential problems in detail. I asked they do the necessary work. They called me well before I expected them to and let me know my car was done. I received excellent service at a resonable price and I thought that the mechanics were very courteous and sensitive to my fears of mecanical disaster. I will have regular service done at their shop for as long as I own my Lincoln.

Reed and Ron have always been so kind, and so competent. They are honest, treat their customers well, and are just about the perfect choice when looking for a "trusted mechanic." Would recommend them highly.
