Ray & John have an established repair shop. I have been dealing with them for the past eleven years, and tried a few other shops in between. I always come back to Ray's Garage and as a bonified knucklehead I should't have tried the "other" shops. Ray told me a story some years ago and I would like to relay it to you. A man and his family were travling through Utah, and the Salt Lake area, during an evening weekend. Pow! His car brakes down and the man starts going thru the phone book to find a mechanic who could help him. I guess he had spent a small fortune calling from the top of the "A" listings to the "R's", anyway, the family man got in touch with Ray, through the answering service, and Ray responded in the upmost of assistance by going to the car and fixing the problem AND did not charge the guy one cent! Ray got the family on their way and a few days later sent Ray a greatly appriciated thank you card. So, there are real professional mechanics with heart out there Thanks for having a great show and I try to listen to you guys whenever they let me out of the cage at work. Pete Robinson

I have had a few cars worked on there and the price is always very reasonable and Ray is very talented. After one mechanic at a different shop admittedly screwed up a timing belt on my father's car the car lost a considerable amount of power. Subsequent visits to the offending shop "fixed" the problem according to them. One trip to Ray's and it was fixed the right way and the power returned. I have always been impressed with the work done on my car and have recommended him to a number of friends who have all been very happy.

Ray's may not appear to be much from the outside, but inside it is staffed with skilled, honest mechanics. John, the owner and chief mechanic, knows cars inside and out, and he repairs them in a straight forward manner -- he fixes the problem without tacking on extra work that is not needed. His labor rates are competitive with other garages in the area, but since he is honest and does not look to inflate the bill with uneeded repairs, he has saved me many, many dollars over the years. Before I found Ray's, I often tried to fix problems myself, or I just let basic repairs go too long because I always felt that I was paying for more work than I needed at other garages. Now, I don't worry. At Ray's the job is done, fast, right, and professionally for a fair price. That's all that I could ask for.
