Ron and his crew perform competent general repairs on all makes of cars. He has done a marvelous job on the mechanical restoration of my 1964.5 Ford Mustang (i.e., he can repair cars without the assistance of a computer, using, experience and inductive/deductive reasoning....what a novel idea). And I've seen Chevrolets to Land Rovers in his shop for repair. Give him an "A" for general repair work. Ron's real forte, though, is his magical touch with the VW Vanagon. I own a 1991 VW Vanagon camper with what the German's laughingly call air conditioning (the engineers have never seen Utah in August). I never thought to complain about it, simply accepting it as another joke the Bavarian Elves play on Americans. Ron diagnosed and fixed the problem last week (apparently the factory and dealer had over charged the system with oil). He has performed a number of other repairs (e.g., resealing the heads, repairing the rear heater core, replacing the exhaust system) all of which have been satisfactorily done and at reasonable prices. He is clearly "The Man" in Utah for Vanagon repairs.

Ron and his two sons, Jeff and Jimmy are extraordinary. They get the job done on time, are fair in their prices and stand behind their work. The real force in the business is Gloria, Ron's wife. She works in the shop. This is a true family owned business. They get to know customers by name.

Ron has always been very honest and fair in recommending repairs and on his pricing. He even tried to talk me out of a repair that I wanted to have done to correct a small noise I didn't like because it had no impact on car safety or performance. He has been able to diagnose and fix problems that left other shops totally clueless. I have found him totally reliable and at the top of the integrity scale.

My one experience was positive. The shop is orderly and clean. The job was completed on time and at a reasonable price. I will use them again.

I was very happy with the service I received. Ron took time to explain everything clearly as Jeff checked the computer codes, found the problem, and corrected it very quickly. The shop is off the beaten path but well worth finding.

I was quoted close to $500 for a repair at two shops. I was so frustrated that I looked on this website for a recommendation. After reading other comments, I called Contract Auto Repair and they were amazing. They were so fast and they completed the job for $235. I was glad to find a shop where I didn't feel they wanted to rip me off because I'm a woman.

Great mechanics! They always gave me the best price, and were able to trouble-shoot problems much better than the Nissan dealership. I've sent several friends and family members to them as well, with good feedback from everyone.
