He's sometimes hard to get into--but then, I don't mind waiting for reasonably-priced, honest, competent work.

Doug's is a really great, small shop (Doug, his son, and two other mechanics). Very friendly, low-key, and highly competent. I am satisfied that their integrity is very much intact. Doug and his son Jake are enthusiastic collectors of Ford high-powered racing cars (some incredible cars), so I assumed thier exptertise and interests were mostly with Ford products. Wrong. I've had them work on both my Buick Park Avenue, and my wife's Chevy Blazer, and they've done very well with both. I notice they also have Hondas, Toyotas, etc. in their shop often. Great people. Very capable mechanics. My experience with their honesty has been excellent. Do what they say they'll do, when promised. Doug has an uncanny ability to listen to a problem & diagnose it. Big disadvantages? Hard to find, the first time (finding their location will drive you crazy the first time), and small parking lot.

Doug's has always treated us and our parents like family; very competent, will repair what and how I want it. I used to be a mechanic and still do some work on my cars, so I don't trust many mechanics.
