Mike and his son are the best mecahnics I have experienced in the auto industry. When they tuned up my car it ran better than any past tune up. They also did some other preventive maintenance and explained wht I would need in the future. They are honest and get the work dome quickly and right the first time. I only wish that I had a mechanic as good as they are because I no longer reside in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a family owned business and the father, Mike, has been servicing my in-laws cars for years. We recenly bought a new car, but prior to that had a 10 year old Corrolla that had been in 2 front-end collisions (prior to my ownership) that he serviced for a year and a half. Mike managed to quickly diagnose a squealing problem that occurred when the steering wheel was turned hard as a broken compressor. Many other mechanics had misdiagnosed this as a loose engine belt for several years. We didn't want to spend money on a new compressor, so he happily removed the part and we had no a problem since then. Even more compelling, I feel that he saved our lives, quite literally. I took the car in for a routine inspection and he happened to notice that the oil also needed replacing. So of his own volition, he put the car on the lift to service the oil. When he did this he noticed that the wheels in the front of the car sagged quite a bit and when he pushed on the edge of one of the wheels it moved quite easily. He called to tell us that one of the parts that held the wheel in place had completely snapped since he last serviced it and had only stayed put by gravity for who knows how long! If he hadn't taken the initiative to change our oil and we had hit a bump on the highway, we could have been in a serious accident! It is my suspicion that the broken part was a result of a crack from the 2 previous collisions that got bigger over time until the piece was severed. After that incident we bought a new car. I have always found Mike to be honest and fair-priced. If a part needs replacing, he is more than happy to find a used component to help save you money. He also gives you the broken part without need for request. The only downside to this business is that it is a little out of the way from downtown, but it is well worth the 20 minute drive up I-35.

Wouldn't use any other mechanic. The owner is a straight shooter and gives you fair prices. It's hard to find shops like this. His shop is old but don't let that fool you. He doesn't even have a sign on his building, but I'll tell you he's the best!!! Never had an issue with all my routine maintenance done over the last 6 years.
