I was ready to pay for a tune-up but they checked it out, found nothing wrong, and told me to stop buying 'cheap' gas. No charge, and they were right. Now that's putting integrity before profit.

I started taking cars to Temple Hill based on the recommendation of my co-workers (employees at a military base). I've been very pleased at their friendliness and customer service. When we went to the Honda dealer, they were hyper about selling us more service, to the point that we didn't trust their recommendations because they were hyping sales. Temple Hill doesn't do that - they'll discuss maintaining your car, but don't spend huge time pushing you.

Temple Hill Automotive is family owned and in business since 1954. James Otto is the primary owner and mechanic, but there are several good mechanics in the shop. I've been taking cars to him since 1992. I referred several people to Temple Hill with very good results. Prices are regularly less than northside San Antonio mechanics, and on two occasions, I had my car towed from my northside home to his shop on the southeast side. Even with the tow charge, I save money. If a customer drops a car off and needs a ride to work or back home, James assigns a worker to give you a ride. I even trust my beloved '98 Mustang to Temple Hill.
