Rhine West is the most competent BMW shop in Central Texas, bar none, and a pleasure to do business with. Owner David Greenwood is a gentleman and scrupulously honest in addition to being unbelievably knowledgeable about BMWs and how to keep them running right. The whole staff is competent, the shop is impeccably clean, all customers are treated courteously, diagnoses and repairs are explained patiently and coherently, charges are fair, developing or potential problems are spotted and explained in advance, and unnecessary repairs are not recommended. They don't work on any other make, and they're so well thought of that all their business comes from referrals -- they don't advertise anywhere. Too bad it's a sole proprietorship; I'd buy stock in a business this good if it were available.

This is one of the best shops I know of, period. Too bad they only work on BMW's. They always do a good job, they have wonderful technical expertise and they even help me out when I decide to do the repairs myself. As far as BMW shops are concerned, these guys are the best. The dealership is no competition in terms of pricing, customer service, or knowledge.

Nice people, but not necessarily cheaper then the local BMW dealer. Their BMW inspections are always the "big" inspection; they won't do the normal "small" inspection, which is cheaper. Our car had an oil leak after R-W did maintenance. When I was finally able to take the car back by the shop, which is by no means convenient, they found the oil pan nut had not been properly tightened. This does not inspire confidence.

Excellent service overall during the eight years and about 150K miles I used their shop for repairs of my BMW. The routine servicing was reasonably priced as compared to the dealer, where I refused to return after several difficult visits and continued haughty attitude. Informed me when a problem needed to be fixed and if more economical parts would do as well as BMW parts. Had difficulty in correcting a persistently malfunctioning cruise control, but overall was always pleased with their service.

David and the guys have taken good care of me and my car for the past seven years. I highly recommend them. I only wish they worked on other makes too. But, that is why they are so good; they focus on one make and they know their BMW's !!!
