Called around to several places and found that the people at this shop gave me a good feeling that they were honest and professional. The prices at the VW dealer were outrageous. I took a chance with Autobahn and found that they in fact were honest, professional, timely and most of all very accurate. The technician that took care of my car was outstanding. Nothing but OE parts and attention down to the last detail. I did rush them a bit since it was my only mode of transport at the time but they tried their best to accommodate me. There was one problem when i picked up my car; The timing was one tooth off and the car didn't see to run like I had imagined. One mention to the staff and all attention was back on my car with no questions asked. Overall I was very happy with my experience.

Autobahn is a professional and helpful group of mechanics who treat their customers fairly and with respect. I have always had my VWs repaired at the dealer because I have had several bad experiences with small mechanics not being familiar with them. However, this time the dealer quoted me almost $1000 to replace the clutch on my Jetta and told me that the clutch could not be replaced without simultaneously replacing the flywheel. I had to look elsewhere, and, happily, I discovered Autobahn. They fixed the clutch for $475, even going so far as to order a part overnight from California because they said the dealer was trying to charge too much for it. And they explained to me that it was NOT necessary to replace the flywheel. On top of all that, they came in on a Saturday to finish the job because I told them I had to have my car! I highly recommend this garage: Autobahn 2306 NE Loop 410 (near Starcrest) phone 657-1180

I have had my 1998 Passat (German for Lemon?) repaired at Autobahn quite frequently and I have never been disappointed in the quality of work. I have never felt that they were trying to "milk" me for additional work nor have I ever felt that they did less than what what was required to make the repair. I have always gotten excellent feedback from Tom and a full explanation of what was found and what was replaced. They take the time to listen to their customers and are able to speak either up or down as the level of technical sophistication of the customer warrants. They have done all the service on my car except for the turbo replacement, which was done by the dealer. As long as I own an automobile these guys will be my garage.

I asked for a repair of a discharge A/C unit on a Volvo 740 station wagon. After paying for the repair they brought the car to the front of the store with the car running. I heard a hiss from inside the car. I opened the hood and found the freon was discharging into the air. I asked them if they checked the hose. They said they did a vacuum test that didn't show any problems. They suggested the vacuum test must have pulled some hose rubber over the hole and held it shut. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me I could have them repair it for an additional cost. I left in frustration. This was in 2004. I hope they have changed management.
