Great guys own it, clean shop, polite and friendly, prompt, on time as promised. I'm a thrifty guy, and it hurts me to part with my hard earned $'s, but I felt like I was in good hands, that if something comes up it will be dealt with in a professional and expedient manner to my satisfaction. I now call these guys "my mechanics"

I am a retired USAF Lt. Colonel and a practicing attorney/trial lawyer. Thus, I believe that I have some measure of discriminating experience in things mechanical as well as background by which to determine quality people. Without any ambiguity I find the owners, Lloyd Coulson and Craig Mueller, the most competent and industrious car repair personnel I have ever known. They are not only generally well educated and highly trained in the specifics of care and repair of automobiles, they are honest gentlemen who possess the highest degree of integrity and business acumen. I trust them to the extent that I simply leave either of my Camaros with them while away on business trips with the instruction to fix and maintain whatever they find that needs service. Never, I repeat, never have I had even the slightest concern that their business (or personal for that matter) has been any but consistent with the highest standards that one would expect from a true artisan of automotives and persons of sterling personal attributes. Their knowledge of engines, accessories, tendencies of cars, part availability, as well as their recommendations and cost estimates is both astounding and trustworthy. A customer can be assured that every job is attended to with complete dedication and supervision to the end that it is done correctly, on time, within the cost estimate and with sound business practices (such as being sure that the customer's car is clean and unstained when the job is done). Having done business with automobile repair facilities all over the world and all over Houston, I repeat without ambiguity that this is, by far, the finest shop run by men of completely trustworthy character with which I have ever had a business relationship.

These guys are GREAT! At first I wondered - only two reviews, one old (but gushing with praise) and one from a friend/relative. How good could this be? Well I found out. I went in expecting seriously bad transmission news and not only did they fix the primary problem, they fixed two more for a total of less than 10% of what I was expecting to spend. Lots of discussion of what could be done (it's an older car with a number of challenges) and really helpful advice like, "If you do this, then you can expect this..." This shop is spot on! My only complaint is that Car Talk did not publicize these folks earlier (and louder) so I could have been using them for the last 10-20 years.

I have a '98 Ford Explorer. It developed an electrical problem that seemed to stem from the factory alarm module. After visiting one repair shop and one alarm installation shop, I was advised by both to find someone who worked on electrical problems. I did not want to use a dealer knowing the final cost would be more than I could afford. This shop was recommended to me previously by a good friend who deals with them regularly. I stopped in, met and talked to Mr. Lloyd Coulson and explained my situation. He was confident that his employees could find and fix the problem if possible. We agreed on a time limit for diagnostics and an approximate cost. I know fram my own personal experiences that anyone familiar with electrical problems has no idea of how long it will really take to diagnose a problem, especially when there is no test point information available from the manufacturer as in this case. The cause of the problem was identified by Leonard and the issue resolved. All is working correctly and well within the monetary limits agreed upon. This shop was recommended to me by my friend. I was impressed with their honesty as this is the most important thing to me. I don't mind paying for work that needs to be done, but being a female, it's not always possible to NOT get duped! These guys told me I didn't need a master cylinder -- that my problem was I invested in expensive brake pads (from another place) that stopped fine on a slow stop, but didn't react well in an emergency. They advised me to use cheap pads and I didn't have any more problems with my brakes! I went to them for a long time till I moved further away. I would recommend them. They're good guys who know what they're doing!

This is my *first ever* favorable experience with auto repair! Lloyd and Craig have a life-long customer. I appreciated their explanations and time given to me as a customer. They were very accommodating in performing on the spot diagnostics when the engine light came on (again) after initially finding nothing (of course, there was nothing once again). I felt none of the typical condescension that I sense at dealerships and other shops. There was absolutely no pressure to fix "everything." I felt like the charges were very fair.

These were the first mechanics I've found that I've ever liked. The worst part about going out of town to college was having to find a mechanic I'd trust as much as them. They've fixed everything from tires and breaks to transmissions. I wish they'd move to Austin!

I have recommended him to 5 people who say the same thing--- they never over-charge me or get them to do anything more than what they came in for. They were recommended to me by someone at work.
