A friend recommended this place to me. It's very close to downtown, so I can leave my car, walk to work and then pick it up after work. After I used him the first time, I've never gone anywhere else. He even makes suggestions about how I can do some of the work myself and then let him do the really hard or technical stuff. I've had too many good experiences to relate any particular one, but what sticks in my mind is the number of times I've picked up my car and he says "No charge - it was minor - we'll get you next time." Granted, on those occasions it was minor, but it sure leaves you with a good feeling about the place! His prices are pretty much by the book, but the work is done right and he's a pleasure to deal with. Expect to make an appointment at least a couple of days in advance.

They won't fix anything that ain't broke; even if it's making a noise I don't like.

Bill Shores is as honest and competent a mechanic as you would ever hope to find. He has one mechanic working for him (Gary). Says he'd like to hire another, but it's difficult to find good mechanics who are dependable. (He's not telling us anything we don't already know!!!!) He's taken care of 3 cars for me since 1988 and I trust him completely. Now that I have moved to Houston, I still find time to get my car to him for maintenance and repairs. That's how much I trust his work.
