I chose "Biased customer" regarding my relationship with this shop because I have taken all my auto work (with the obvious exception of warranty work) there since before Tommy Guess died.Tom was honest to a fault, and a VERY good mechanic. David Byers got his start working for Tommy, and after Tommy's death, bought the business from his widow, Marianne. Several other people that I know (including my son, Mark) won't take their vehicles anywhere else. Mark and David worked together at Tommy's when they were teenagers. I am not only "biased" but I'm also "faithful."

I worked here when I was in high school in the mid 1970s.
It was a Texaco service station in those days. Although it
is located adjacent to a major highway, their business was
primarily local repeat customers. They no longer sell
gasoline.
They have always been honest and I have referred many
friends to them. I trust them completely and it is the
only place that I will take my cars.

After shopping around to find someone who would work on
mycar without messing up something else, I remembered that
my friend used to use TGAS, so I took my car them. That
was several years ago and they're still working on my car.
Honest, friendly and knowledgable, that's how I'd describe
them.

I've done business with them for about 11 years. David
Byers is a great master mechanic, and I actually enjoy
taking my car in for service, because the staff are so
nice. There is no nearby public transit, but they are very
accommodating about providing rides for customers when
needed. Only once did I have to take a car back, and they
were very pleasant about making good on their work.
One time they sent me to a dealer, because they felt a
problem was a manufacturing defect, and GM subsequently
covered the cost of the repair. The honesty factor really
hit home at that point, because they could have charged me
thousands for a differential rebuild.
