The best I've found for my Volvo with 174K miles and counting!

This shop is part of an umbrella organization of specialized import mechanics under one roof. It keeps the costs down since they can share space and personell other than mechanics. I have a Volvo and that is Ken's specialty. Bill runs the overall organization and he is a Volvo person also. The shop is very profession; only possible complaint is that the shop isn't real clean. You know you have come to the right place when there is a bulltin board in the lobby celebrating the milealge achievements of their customers. They have an arrangement with an Enterprise rental location a half mile away where you promtly get picked up, are on the road in your rental car within about 10 minutes, and can just drop the rental car and keys at the shop as you pick up your car.

I had an A/C problem that an independent could not figure out and the dealer had given me an expensive explanation that I didn't believe. These guys corrected the problem easily and under the original estimate. I also like the fact that when I call I get to talk to the mechanic directly and he is very professional and willing to share lots of information. This is without a doubt the best mechanic that I have ever had an experience with.

Ken knows Volvos so well that he can instantly tell to the penny what a repair or maintenance is going to cost. As others have said, he talks directly to you and gives good advice about what does and does not need doing. The entire staff treats regular customers as friends and almost family. This has got to be the most honest, competent, friendly, and convenient shop I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They even let me know what to expect in advance so that I can plan bigger repairs. I want to recommend them strongly, because I want them to attract more loyal customers; I'm just afraid that some day Ken will get so busy that we'll all have to wait in a long line for his time. Bill, the owner, is a pilot and a lot of fun; he has great insight into local politics at no extra charge. The shop also offers free anonymous lost-key locator tags.

We have been talking our Volvo V70 here for over 7 years. Ken is the Volvo specialist in a practice that has other make specialists all under one big roof for efficiency and a high degree of professionalism. Ken is highly competent and always honest. This is not the place to go if you want to cut corners to just keep a car running but is the place we keep going to because we want our cars to last a very long time and always be safe and reliable. While they sometimes don't have their loaner car available, they have a very convenient arrangement with Enterprise car rental which is one block away. Enterprise comes pick you up and has you in your rental within about ten minutes. While their hours are not extended they do make it easy to drop off your car and put keys in a drop box.

My wife and I were on a road trip in July and in Dallas when it was 100 degrees in the shade my air conditioner went bad. The mechanic at Swedish Auto squeezed me into a busy schedule and charged the air conditioning and saved our lives, well, it did make the rest of the trip more pleasant. While we were waiting in a very pleasant waiting room we were offered water, coke or Gator Aid from the fridge. The mechanic finished in about 20 minutes and there was no charge for the air conditioner charge or the Gator Aid. My daughter uses them all the time and swears by them.
