They don't come any more honest, hard-working or credible
than Bob. Dealer estimate on one particular repair was
$2700. LOR repaired for under $400.

I went to this shop based on the feedback I found here and
have since met other satisfied customers of this shop.
Bob was very straight forward and thourough. He repaired
what I needed and also called around to check my warrenty
status on certain parts. Instead of fixing the catalytic
converter himself he called to the local dealership and
arranged for me to bring it in where they would repair it
for free. I will definately continue to bring my '03
Jetta here as long as I have it.

Bob is the best VW mechanic in town. Even though I live 40
miles away and there are plenty of other mechs between
here and there - my car always goes to Bob. Fair prices,
quick and accurate diagnoses - once your VW is out of
warranty - get away from the dealership and take your car
here - it will get better care at a better price than any
VW dealer will ever consider giving you.

Bob is helpful & honest; they do it the right way here.
Very knowledgeable on VW/Audis, always fully explains
everything. Not the cheapest labor rate in town, but a 100%
fair deal for the quality & speed that you'll get. Also,
Bob willingly saves you $ by telling you when something can
wait, you could do it yourself, or doesn't really need to be
replaced. I've had engine work done there, and it's the place
to go when it has to be done right.

Most Trustworthy repair shop! (Makes me wish that our
minivan is also VW so it can be repaired by these guys
also.) The owner, Bob, is someone who seems to put your
interest in fixing the car first.
While serving in the Army, my VW of past 9 years had been to
at least 5 different VW dealers AND 5 different independent
repair shops over 4 different states. That's 10 different
repair facilities over 4 different states (from the West
coast to the East coast and now Texas. During that time,
I've had 3 pretty good independent shops (not including VW
dealers and not including Lord of the Rings). But Bob is
the most trustworthy among them.
I do most routine maintenance on my VW myself (e.g., engine
oil change, spark plug replacement, transmission oil change,
etc.), so I believe my knowledge of car is above the average
and, therefore, better able to spot a good mechanic when i
see one.
Bob's explanation of the problem I had was very thorough and
helpful. His charge was also very reasonable and fair. I
actually wanted to pay him more! (It's the first time I've
had a feeling like that about a car mechanic.)
Absolutely highly recommended!

Like the other folks say, Bob is not as cheap as some
others, but you get top-notch work, the right parts and
fair, but not bargain, prices. Bob can tell you what is
wrong in very short order and explain any recommended
repairs. Based on my experience here compared with other
shops, I am willing to be inconvenienced by the 15 or so
mile distance from my home to entrust my car to him. My old
mechanic was willing to do what you might call "jerry-rig"
repairs to save you money or help your problem be solved
well enough until you could afford to do the full-on repair,
but I don't get the sense that Bob would ever do that. I
think he only believes in complete solutions; nothing is
done halfway, and he will not offer to do anything halfway,
which is why he can cost more. (I admit that sometimes I
wish he would offer or describe stopgap measures that could
save me a few bucks.) More intellectual than your average
mechanic--Click and Clack would love him.
