Once I purchased tires at a Conroe Tire store, and I was told that a rubber part had worn on my front end axle, and they showed me the oil on the rag. They told me that it would cost me $ 300.00 to replace the part. I called my mechanic and told him what I had been told, and he said he could do the job for about $200.00. He ordered the parts and I took the car to him the following morning. I got a call from him later in the day and he told me that there was nothing wrong with the part, and that someone had placed oil on the outside in order to make it look like the part had failed. He then advised me that he had sent the repair parts back to the parts store, and that there would be no charge. I was ready to pay him $ 200.00 for a repair that was not needed. He could have told me that he fixed it and I would have paid. This is a honest mechanic!
