My son goes to school in San Marcos and has previously had his car worked on by Revolution. He called me at home in Austin one evening to let me know that something may be wrong with his power steering. He couldn't tell if he had just lost control of the car or if there was actually something wrong with it. I was beside myself with worry and afraid that we would have to tow the car to Austin. I called the guys at Revolution to ask their advice and see if they could recommend someone in San Marcos to look at the car. Not only did they recommend a shop in San Marcos for future use, they let me know that someone from Revolution was planning to be in San Marcos that afternoon. I have never had such a great experience with any other garage. I doubt there are many companies in Austin that would be willing to look at a car in another city. They even took the car out for a test drive with my son to make sure that everything was working properly. I would definitely recommend Revolution Motors if you're in need of car repair.

Pat Whale, the owner and operator of the "French Revolution", web-site, is one of the very best automotive places I've ever delt with. Pat is honest! Phone (512) 453-5050 We have purchased five different car's from him, and they are in good shape, and when something fails, he give us honest estimates, and fixes the problem. Should anthing subsequently fail, he cheerfully re-fixes it. Because Peugot currently does not sell in the US, the price is astoundingly low for real quality cars. And with Pat and his mechanics to keep them running - they are great. He is a registered Peugot Dealer - should the ever start selling in the US again. Recently (past 5 years) purchased Boer's Motors, which expands his ability to service all german and many japaneese cars. In particular, Mercedes, Porsche, VW, Audi, Saab, Volvo, etc. He even fix Citroens. Very occasionally one has showed up on his lot. I was suprised to see that his shop is Not in your list. This is why I'm informing you about it. Please add it soon. PS - Car Talk is a favorite of mine, I like your humor and mostly agree with your diagnosis. Pete Kloepper

Work was completed in a timely fashion, done right the first time. Bono, the Shop Manager, ensured that I understood all the work to be done. Labor rates are almost the best in the city for European auto repair work. Patrick Whale, the owner, is truly a unique businessman. Having WI-FI while I waited also made the experience more enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that they are not open on Saturdays. Overall, I give Revolution Motors high marks for professionalism and fun.

the shop manager Bono is ALWAYS very courtesy, competent and professional. Being new to the area I was sooo glad to find them thru your web site. I had to have extensive (and costly) repairs done to my 2000 AUDI but they gave a 1 year/100,000 warranty!!! great shop !!! b.mcguire

Great shop. They and Kenny Hill are the best VW repair shop in Austin. Honest and take time to explain repairs and really listen to descriptions of problems. They treat their customers very well.

My 1998 Jetta TDI (diesel) has been converted to run on used vegetable oil. This makes my car less than popular at some garages. However, Revolution has no problem with this and they seem to like working on my greasecar. I've had a recurring but intermittent problem with the engine losing power, particularly in warm weather. It took some persistence, but Chris found the problem after several other places could not. Turned out to be the fuel shutoff valve on the injector pump. Several other mechanics tried to blame it on my oil conversion because that was the easiest thing to suspect. Anyway, these guys are great.
