Ken is a mobile mechanic and he will come to you (he has an amazing station wagon full of tools). He's incredibly friendly and knows everything on the planet about cars, as far as *I* can tell.

Ken's a great find! My Mazda Proteg died so I called him and figured it was the battery. He told me he'd be by either later than morning or early that afternoon. He called me around noon to say he'd be there in an hour, and he was here by 1. He checked the battery, replaced it with an identical model, and the car started right up. He knows his stuff, and he's likeable and very honest (!). He's also a great educational resource, telling me all about the Proteg as he was replacing the battery. While he was very fond of the Proteg, I now have a much better sense of problem areas to be on the lookout for in the future. I'd highly recommend Ken to anyone who desires a mobile service. His prices are terrific, and you'll have a great conversation as well. You'll also get to peer inside his station wagon fool of automotive goodies!

I called them out to diagnose/repair a starter or ignition problem on my old Ford Taurus. During their work it started up (before they actually replaced anything), so they could not replicate the problem. They had quoted a $65 minimum for the work but did not charge anything for the 10-mile trip across town! I'll be calling them for sure when the problem re-appears.
