These guys are the best. On numerous occasions they have
fixed something in a way that has saved me money. I've
never had to wait until the next day to have anything
done, which would be difficult as I only have one vehicle.
They explain everything very carefully and give options.
They don't try to push anything on you and don't act like
salespeople. They are always extremely friendly, polite
and effecient. Everyone in the south Austin area should
save themselves a lot of hassle by taking their cars to
the Lambs Automotive on Slaughter Lane.

The Lamb's store on 620 has worked extensively on several
vehicles we own or have owned including a 1994 E320 MB
with 96000 miles, a 2000 Acura TL with 95,000 miles, a
1998 Ford Escort Z2 with 95,000 miles (we're in a rut
here), and a 2003 BMW 540 with 27,000 miles. They have
done extensive mechanical and service works on multiple
occasions, and their work has been superb and their prices
fair. I value their honesty and their competence. One
night, my son's Escort overheated a few miles from their
shop. We called a few minutes after they had closed.
They had a tow truck on site to tow the vehicle to their
shop within a few minutes. Excellent service--no
complaining that they were closed. They just came.

This is with regards to the Lamb's shop on 620.
On a recent trip to the shop for a Check Engine light, I was
there for over two hours.
Twice the service representative came over to inform me that
the mechanic was investigating the problem - and had several
theories as to why the engine was running rough. He claimed
that the read out from the check engine light was ambiguous
and required the mechanic to do more diagnosis.
After two hours of this, I walked outside and saw that they
had pulled the car around to an occupied bay. The hood was
not open. SO, I asked the service representative for the
printout and the invoice. He pulled the car around and did
NOT have any printout and said that there was no charge!
Both my wife and I believe there was an owner ship change in
the past two years and now the main focus is on simple and
quick services - oil changes, tires and batteries, etc.
