Ok, I'm on vacation in Pigeon Forge, Tn, headed back home, going toward I-40 when a big noise starts. Luckily I look around and see Chip's Transmission Service. I stop, he drives the truck, diagnoses a bad left front hub, gets on the phone to Ford dealer, goes and gets the part, comes back installs the part in record time .6 hour and charges a reasonable rate for this quick and perfect repair. I couldn't be happier. So, if you are in the Smokies and have a problem, find Chip and let him help you.

I lost 5th gear in my truck. Repair estimates ranged from 2,200.00 and 4 days at other transmission shops for a rebuild to 1,000.00 at the dealer to fix what they thought was wrong. Chips diagnosis matched the dealers but cost less than 1/2 of the dealer. Repair was acomplished in just a few hours.

We bought a 3 year old Buick Regal, and one year later the transmission started slipping. I thought "oh, no, here comes a $1500 repair." Chip's took the car, ran a diagnostic, replaced a bad sensor, and the whole thing only cost just over $100. They could have really taken me, but didn't. They are very good about explaining everything.

Chip's fixed the transmission on a pickup truck of friends who were visiting from California. They were towing a large camping trailer, and had "burned up" the transmission practicing backing up. One week into a 5 week vacation, reverse gear went out while visiting us. Bottom line, Chip's fixed it by putting in a heavy duty transmission, working after closing time in order to get these folks back on the road, provided a nationwide warranty, and charged a very reasonable price. But get this, Chip's called them 3 days later on their cell phone to see if all was OK, and then called again after they had returned to California!

I live close by. I had my truck trany upgraded and it increased the fuel mileage 1 mile per gal. They are very friendly and very schooled in there repaired

Our transmission failed while on vacation in a town far from home. Chip's towed the car in the late afternoon, had a diagnosis by 9:30 the next morning, called me with an estimate, and had it fixed by 12:30 that same day. I am sure of their diagnosis, because we first stopped at a local garage (referred by a local), and they were pretty certain of the problem, but they didn't do tranny work, so they referred me to Chip's.
