They have worked on several cars for me - everything from Volvos to Chevrolets. After one wreck, at a particularly harrowing time in my life, they basically rebuilt the front end of a Volvo for me - after talking to the insurance company and explaining why I simply did not have the emotional wherewithall to buy a car. However, because the insurance company would only allow them to use used body parts, it took forever. (It would have cost less to put on new parts than keep me in a rental for that long.) It amazes me that they always remember me when I go in - or seem to. I recommend them to anyone who needs body work. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else unless I absolutely had to.

After getting estimates from two other locations that also didn't want to work on my car due to insurance considerations and that I was having to pay for the work out of pocket (due to insurance deciding to total the car and pay off on it rather than pay for repairs), found Whaley's here on the Mechanics Files. Their estimate was lower than the others, they listened to what I wanted done to keep the cost as low as possible while getting the car back to being safe again, and they were very up front and helpful about explaining the repairs. The only things I can ding them on is that they didn't let me know how things were progressing after a few days and the trunk (I was rear-ended) doesn't close terribly well (but at least it DOES close and seal well now!). Overall, very satisfied with them and can recommend them to others for a shop that knows what it's doing, will work with the customer as to what needs to be done and what is optional, and hands the car back over much cleaner than when it was brought in.
