This shop charges a little more, but they do excellent work and are honest. Another shop told me my old Honda's carburetor needed replacing; Michael took the time to examine it thoroughly and put it back in (twice) with a couple new gaskets and that did the trick, saving me at least $200. This shop will take on problems that even the local Honda dealership won't touch.

While on the slightly pricey side, IAM is still cheaper than the dealership and a helluva lot more competent, friendly and convenient. Their shuttle actually leaves on a regular schedule and is reasonably quick. They only once screwed something up (a belt was too loose), but the quickly and happily took care of it. I highly recommend them.

IAM does great service; they are a bit more expensive than some competitors, but worth it, and they'll tell you honestly if you don't need something done, which will save you money. I'm a female, but never feel discriminated against; they will tell me exactly what's up just the way they would a man. They have a shuttle service that makes it easy to get to work. The folks there are most friendly and attentive. I never have any trepidation leaving my vehicle there, I know it will get fixed correctly and thoroughly, for a fair price. They've been in business over 25 years, and there's a reason for that; they know what they're doing and do it well.

I have a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo with a new problem of the engine skipping until it warms up. I had it at another garage for two weeks, where they checked the computer (no problems), put in new sparks, wires and fuel filter, cleaned the fuel injection system, and made various adjustments. It's still just as bad. I called IAT, spoke to Lori, told her the problem, and she said she doubted they could help: German turbos, fine, Japanese turbos, not so fine. She gave me the name of a mechanic she thought could help me. It took less than five minutes and no expense; honest answer. My kind of garage.

After becoming completely fed up with the local Toyota dealer, I took my car to IAM, having heard about them for years from other foreign car owners. They are all extremely helpful and pleasant, offer rides to and from the shop, which is very conveniently located, and have strong guarantees. I have had no complaints. The prices are perhaps higher than some places, but the quality of the work is worth that extra price. Sort of like getting organic food vs. conventional. A bit higher, but worth it. While they have many Mercedes, BWM, Jaguars, etc. (and could probably do very well just working on the more expensive and less reliable cars) they happily do older Toyotas, Hondas, etc. They were all talking about an early 80's or late 70's Toyota truck that had over 500,000 miles and was running great!

All the personnel are professional, courteous, and friendly. Even when repairs are extensive/expensive you walk out feeling good.

After yrs. of dissatisfying experience with other garages, I tried IAM and have used them several times for my HOnda and Toyota. They're fairly expensive but very competent and I feel confident they know what they're doing whenever I take my car there. One time they wanted to charge me a price different from the one quoted me over the phone but were willing to change it and stick to the quoted fee. Shuttle is great, staff very cordial and willing to explain things to a nonmechanically minded person like me without once rolling their eyes. Ken L.
