Fixed leaking Freon valve after I told them I thought evaporator core was leaking - they could have replaced it and charged me $300. Fixed stalling 87 Olds Cierra -redid work 2 times free - problem never returned. Replace rad repair they did under warranty - they discovered leak during other maintenance (95 Taurus) Repaired electronics on 85 Crown Vic. Ford dealer spent $800 and failed to do so first. These guys are honest

Friendly, honest, personable. Provide rides for free via their shuttle (mini-van). Several times they could have done expensive work, which I thought needed to be done, but they convinced me it was not necessary. Imagine that, a repair shop that DIDN'T rip me off!

Got the work done SOONER than expected and for the quoted price. Was recommended to us by a neighbor who has used them for 30 years and was always treated fairly.

I've been going to R. T. Clapp for years. They have my complete trust.

Had some issues with screeching wheels and smoke. They had promised to have the issue diagnosed the next day since it was coming close to the end of their work day. Instead, they diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes of my visit. They had the car fixed by noon the next day. They were very honest throughout my experience with them and had a very reasonable price for the repairs. They provided shuttle service that was available when needed, as well. Definitely will return for any future repairs and check ups.

They are great guys to work on your foreign or domestic car, van or truck! They offer shuttle service, free, in a timely way. I have no concerns about sending my non-car savy wife there to get repairs or new tires, etc. She is treated fairly. My father-in-law was also favorably impressed!!! They do not do exhaust repair or body repair, but can arrange same for you. The best vehicle repair shop in the South!!

Requested a quote on water pump repair for a Chevy Van before a trip to CT. Local GM dealers Quoted between $425 and $336.00 for the water-pump replacement. RT Clapp, put in a NEW water pump, PLUS a new serpentine belt for $339.00! I knew the serpentine was cracked, so that wasn't a surprise. What was surprising was their pricing was better and their service more quick than I expected.
