A minor driveway accident left my Subaru Impreza with a dent between the passenger side door & fender panels, with the paint scratched off and a loud noise when the door was opened. Both panels were damaged, and I was really concerned about finding a body shop in town - I just moved here a few months ago, and don't know any local shops. The insurance company was called, and Ron was on the short list of authorized repair shops. I checked out the website ( ) and was very impressed when I spoke to him on the phone; he was transparent about the insurance process, repair method and time frame. My wife & I dropped the car off, and she picked it up three days later (two days earlier than we expected it done). Ron was clear with what he was doing to the car & why, and my wife commented that he was particularly pleasant to work with - he always made her feel comfortable, and took time to talk in depth about his work. I came to this site to find a new mechanic, but while here I couldn't pass up the opportunity to put Ron's Body Shop out there - I hope I don't need any more body work done in the near future, but if I do it's going straight to Ron's.

Bought my car, pre-dented, from my brother. He'd backed into the garage with a door open! That caused the door to not close properly and allowed rain to leak in from the top of the door. I'd taken the car to 2-3 body shops, and everyone told me it'd be $1200-$1800 as the door had to be replaced entirely. Even though I asked for a simple fix, no one was willing to fix it without full replacement. Took the car to Ron's on recommendation from this site, and explained that this was out of pocket, and I just didn't want the door to leak, and he said he thought he could fix it. He took it in, bent the door back in almost perfect place, and even fixed a trim piece that was broken. Now the car still has a small dent (I didn't want to spend the money to repair that), but I don't care--he fixed the leak which was all I wanted. It cost about $100, well under the price anyone else wanted me to pay. Seems honest and doesn't seem to just want to give you the most expensive fix. Willing to think outside the box.
